Jim Stovall – Creating Raving Fans One Blogger At A Time!

Around Christmas time 2007 I was home for the holidays and my mom handed me a book called: “The Ultimate Gift” by Jim Stovall and recommended that I read it. After reading the Sub-Headline: “What would you be willing to do in order to inherit one billion dollars? Jason Stevens is about to find out…” I knew I was hooked. In fact I believe I read it all in that one sitting, being Christmas & all I had nothing else to do but relax.

The funny thing about the timing of me reading this book is that i’d been telling my parents the previous year that they didn’t need to give any money to the kids once they pass away. They should just enjoy what they earned and spend the money on whatever they wanted too. I come from a large family of 10 kids, so you can imagine what it is like trying to put together their wills.

I don’t know that I’ve seen to many good experiences in my short life where money past down from one generation to another was actually put to a good cause, or even used wisely. In fact most of the time I’ve seen the exact opposite where it will actually break up families or at least cause some type of contention. My standing on it was always why would my parents owe me anything they raised me right and sent me in the right direction, why should i expect to recieve any type of inheritance from them when I’m in my 40’s or 50’s and should be well enough off on my own.

There are plenty of examples that I would like to share but frankly this isn’t the full intent of the post…

I enjoyed the book so much I wrote about it on my Amazon profile. Two weeks ago I got the following email:

Dear B.J.:

You wrote a great review my book The Ultimate Gift on Amazon.  I would like to send you an autographed copy of my latest book Ultimate Productivity in hopes that you would be willing to review it as well.

If this is something you would be interested in, please let me know your mailing address so that I can put the autographed copy in the mail.

Thank you,

Jim Stovall”

Now I’m not 100% positive if this was Jim himself or someone from his staff? But it did come from his email address at www.JimStovall.com. Now you can bet that I replied and gave him my address, and sure enough last week my autographed copy of the book arrived in the mail:

I’ll tell you what…Jim & his staff have it figured out. I was amazed to see them contact me, and everyone I’ve told about him contacting me and sending me his book has also been amazed. I’m excited to read the new book and also put up another raving review on Amazon as well as my bookshelf here.

Thanks a lot Jim for the amazing books and also being so connected with your customers!
